On Wednesday, April 12th, 2023, the Government of the Republic of Serbia adopted the establishment regulation of the Program for financing activities and measures for improving energy efficiency in 2023.
Objectives
The program objectives are energy savings and its rational use through the application of modern technologies and products whose use is economically justified, renewable energy sources used for their own needs, and environmental protection through the reduction of harmful gas emissions.
Measures
In addition, the government plans measures to improve energy efficiency. The priority is financing or co-financing, for example, the improvement of the thermal envelope of the building, the replacement of thermal technical systems or part of the systems with more efficient systems, the modernization of lighting systems in buildings, and the installation of solar collectors.
The Government of the Republic of Serbia allocated 483 million dinars for this program, bearing in mind that in the Energy Development Strategy of the Republic of Serbia until 2025 with projections until 2030, energy efficiency and greater use of renewable energy sources are among the priorities.
